Take a seat and move toward the life you want.
Are you ready to change your life?
There are moments in all of our lives when we instinctively know we need to make lasting and meaningful changes to live our best life. Even small changes can significantly impact our lives in very positive ways. The bottom line is that life is not easy. We all struggle in one way or another, but some issues can be particularly overwhelming and difficult to overcome without assistance.
What I offer is a non-judgmental, supportive, and confidential therapeutic environment where you can experience authenticity and unconditional positive regard. In this client-centered space, you have opportunities to engage in the work of self-exploration, to acquire and effectively use coping skills, and to discover a path for healing as you move toward becoming the person you desire to be.
I am a facilitator of healing and change with specialized training and experience in working with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adverse childhood experiences and related trauma. I offer evidenced-based services to residents of Texas, California & Washington.

Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental health issue in the US. Only fraction of anxiety sufferers actually seek professional help although the vast majority respond well to treatment. Risk factors for developing anxiety disorders include genetics, brain chemistry, personality, and life events.
Yes, anxiety can actually feel like the proverbial ball and chain. If you are one of the approximately 40 million U.S. individuals experiencing an anxiety disorder and are ready to tackle it, reach out to me. As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), I use a neuroscience-based approach to identify the neural pathways involved. This allows me to implement targeted, compassionate, and informed interventions to assist you in coping.
Depression and anxiety are not the same, but they often co-exist and exhibit some similar symptoms such as nervousness, irritability, sleep disturbances, and concentration problems. While many people suffer from both disorders, there is no evidence that one causes the other.
The different types of depressive disorders have many similarities among them, but each depressive disorder has its own unique set of symptoms. Severity of depressive symptoms and treatment options vary. I am a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT) and offer DBT, if appropriate. We can work together to determine what treatment modality is best for you.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are events in childhood that are potentially traumatic. ACEs are linked to depression and anxiety. These experiences often lead to difficulties in regulating emotions, feelings of worthlessness, shame, guilt & despair as well as difficulty maintaining relationships.
The challenges you face today could be directly connected to childhood adversity. Let me help you explore your trauma narrative to gain awareness and understanding of the impacts of ACEs on your current life experience. With this knowledge, we can work to remove the obstacles in your path and begin the healing process.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health issue that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event or from being threatened in a manner that that made you question your personal safety. During this kind of event, you might not have any control over what is happening. This can cause feelings of fear, uncertainty, and powerlessness. Anyone who has experienced a traumatic event can develop PTSD. In the long term it is not uncommon for debilitating guilt, shame, disgust, and sadness to overwhelm an individual. Together, we can identify, examine and challenge those “stuck points” in your thinking that keep you in the grasp of PTSD. There is a path for healing.

You have powers you never dreamed of. You can do things you never thought you could do. There are no limitations in what you can do except the limitations of your own mind.”
