Services Offered

I provide integrated services that meet the complex nature of your unique needs. Anxiety, Depression, Complex PTSD, often co-exist and can be connected to experiences that have changed your internal mechanisms for processing emotions & memory as well as how you manage stress.  I will design a treatment plan specifically tailored for your individual needs and address your core issues that have previously undermined your inner peace and prevented you from reaching your goals.


Individual Counseling

Individual counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy, talk therapy, or treatment) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Counseling allows individuals to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

In general, the goal of psychotherapy is to talk through mental health concerns, learn new skills, and help clients heal, grow, and move toward more productive, psychologically healthy lives. Good therapy is client-driven, and specific goals for therapy will be determined by you and in collaboration with your therapist.

Individual psychotherapy sessions typically last between 45 and 50 minutes. The frequency and duration of therapy will depend largely on your needs, treatment goals, and progress. Many concerns are readily resolved with short-term therapy, and other chronic or more complex concerns require long-term commitment before improvement is realized.

Relationship Counseling

Relationship counseling includes couples counseling, but is not limited to couples. Many types of relationships exist in all of our lives, and these relationships contribute to our overall well being. We are wired for connection and have a need for a true sense of belonging. It is important to feel loved, valued, and respected. Our interpersonal relationships can provide these universal needs. However, conflict is inevitable. Healthy relationships require intentional effort, compromise, and consistent maintenance. When disagreement leads to sustained discord in the relationship, it is wise to reach out for help.

Group Counseling

By nature, human beings are social. Talking in a group can provide you with learning opportunities not achievable in individual treatment. Group counseling is a form of counseling where a small group of people meet regularly to discuss, interact, and explore problems with each other and the group leader. Individuals who have a difficult time with interpersonal relationships can benefit  from the social interactions that are a basic part of the group counseling experience.

Telehealth

I am available for Teletherapy for persons within the boundaries of Texas, California & Washington. Counseling services are delivered via a HIPAA compliant platform. Appointments are set electronically and documents are exchanged through a secure system. Telehealth removes some of the traditional barriers to accessing care.

Insurance/Fees

I accept several insurance plans through Alma.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and are billed at a rate of $150. The initial session is about an hour and 15 minutes and is $225.
